Unlimited

  • Scrap Recycler
  • Shiranui Spectral Sword
  • Performapal Call
  • Crystron Rion

[0:13:42] Limited 1 Release

  • Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier: Ice Barrier in name only, this is a level 9 Synchro that does require 3 monsters to Synchro Summon. Basically a stronger version of Crystron Quadriongandrix, banishing 3 enemy cards. This is good enough to be Limited 1 on release, and a card that you should add to the deck if it works.

[0:16:15] September 2022 Ranked Duels

  • Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier (SR): Do we finally have a reason to play Ranked Duels? Dewloren is almost power creep on a similar Level 6 Synchro, Brionac. You will be bouncing face-ups only though, which usually means enemy monsters. This gains 500 for each card removed. A must-get for any player of this game.

[0:18:06] New miniBOX, Stars of Synchro

URs/SRs

  • Stardust Warrior: As is the trend, we’ve got these quick effect monsters for disruption. This is a fine Turn 1 play acting to negate any of your opponent’s special summons, and come back during the End Phase. You’ll need to use a Synchro Tuner to make this, so it limits what decks can use this card. Normally you would counter this card with a Kaiju, but in Duel Links, that would be Santa Claws.
  • Crimson Blader: Generic Level 8 Synchro that can continually disrupt your opponent’s summons. While this effect is situational on monster disruption, it is still a pretty good effect. This fits fine with Jack Atlas style decks, but is not a Fiend or Dragon, so not sure if that messes up certain Duel Skills.
  • Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier: More banish, but this only hits 3 cards your opponent controls. This definitely should be run with the regular Trishula, but you don’t have to include this with the original. It is almost a game ending effect when this is destroyed, but it can be bounced or banished to avoid this effect. Ice Barriers seem to swarm very well, which goes in the favor of this card being summoned.
  • Red Wyvern: Just a simple Level 6 Synchro with a control ability on any monster bigger than this. It seems a little underwhelming at this point, but probably acts as an intermediate Synchro Summon to something even bigger.
  • Blackwing – Nothung the Starlight: Blackwings get this Level 6 intermediate Synchro, who does a little burn and debuff. This is more useful for providing a Double Summon of sorts, pretty strong if you have Black Whirlwinds on the board. This does Blackwing things, and swarms pretty well.
  • Infernity Doom Archfiend: A reprint, this is one of the Infernity boss monsters.
  • Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys: One of the better generic level 9 Synchro monsters. You’ll get card advantage, and be able to quick effect to destroy one of your opponent’s cards. This card’s changing attack/defense is the key, but this is most useful for being yet another quick effect control card.
  • Blackwing – Kalut the Moon Shadow: Blackwings get a hand trap, a hefty one in 1400 attack!
  • Dragunity Arma Gram: This probably isn’t enough to make Dragunity meta, but it works pretty well, almost like Machina Fortress, coming out of the GY.
  • Dragunity Legatus: This does a few things, special summons as a Level 4, and can pop a spell/trap.
  • Medallion of the Ice Barrier: As your “Reinforcement of the Army” for Ice Barriers, you’ll want 3 of these for Ice Barrier to be a viable deck.
  • Dragon Ravine: This works for Dragunity, or any Dragon deck. You’ll have some GY effects pop off, and this works very well with Dragunity Arma Gram.
  • Infernity Suppression: A trap form of Forbidden Chalice, this also inflicts negligible burn damage. The main appeal is being able to activate this after setting it.

[0:34:23] Paradox Level-Up Cards

  • Night Flight: I suppose this is a way to play around common hand traps. You can normal summon a Kiteroid or Wightprincess, use Night Flight, in order to counter the enemy hand trap? But this is situational on having the hand trap altogether, and this card seems like it won’t be great altogether. Only in rare tech usage with such a common hand trap could this be used against.
  • Malefic Paradigm Dragon: This seems like a strong card. You can push this card out just by banishing a card from the Extra Deck and having the field spell out. You can resummon that monster by sending a card from the deck to the GY. From a beatdown perspective, this is as good as it gets, but it is all dependent on the field spell staying on the board.
  • Malefic Cyber End Dragon: This isn’t as good as Malefic Paradigm Dragon, but is just another 4000 beater who can come onto the board, so as long as you’re running Cyber End Dragon in the Extra Deck.

[0:38:49] Paradox Duel Skills

  • Malefic Dragons: A f2p skill that starts your deck with 4 main deck and 2 extra deck cards. This has a big plus in preventing your Malefic World field spell from getting destroyed by effect. You are limited to special summoning Malefic monsters only though, something that severely limits the upside of the deck, but the sheer brute force of Malefics could be enough.
  • Malefic Dragon’s Power: Malefic Truth Dragon is situational on another Malefic monster getting destroyed. This comes with 5000 attack and might gain 1000 attack, as you’ll be paying half the LP to summon the monster. With this effect, you are looking for the OTK, but it is conditional on the monster getting destroyed for this monster. Otherwise, the skill does nothing.
  • Malefic Trade: Exchange a monster on the board to the deck/extra deck to tutor any Malefic monster. Not a bad skill, as some of these Malefic monsters can reuse the Extra Deck monster for the special summon.
  • Territory of Malice: This could be the top Malefic skill. Return a card, get a free Malefic Territory and Malefic World, tutor the field spell with Malefic Territory, and get the benefits of the card.
  • The Blank Card: Interesting skill that is completely depending on your opponent running a Dragon Synchro monster. You basically get to steal that monster and eventually give it back to your opponent. This is completely situational on what Dragon Synchro we are talking about, and if your deck even has the material to summon it. Possibly unplayable but interesting.
  • The Opposites: Just a weird skill. You’ll need to be running the right monsters to have this to work, and not even sure if it is worth the trouble.
  • World of Malice: This certainly helps with consistency, as you’ll start with the field spell. You can possibly run fewer copies of the field spell and run more staple cards. Territory of Malice could do the same thing, but this is a turn 1 activation.
