Special shoutout to GrandHarrier (https://www.twitch.tv/grandharrier/) , who hosts Duel Links Grand Prix!

[0:09:59] Duel Links Meta Power Rankings

  • Tier 1: Speedroid (32.0), Odd-Eyes (29.0)
  • Tier 2: Orcust (25.0)
  • Tier 3: Trickstar (15.0), Rokket (10.0), Resonators (8.5), Destiny HERO (8.5)
  • Off List:

[0:10:42] Celina: The Girl from Fusion Dimension!

  • Lunalight Blue Cat: Not the best Lunalight for facilitating fusion plays, as it doesn’t help at all. This only has a special summon ability for doubling the attack of your monster. This is a fine ability, but makes me think this is not a core 3-of card, more of a card to help your fusion Lunalights close out a game. This can be set and destroyed to help swarm stuff out of the deck though.
  • Lunalight Serenade Dance: This is a weird card, as you’ll need to have it set for at least 2 turns, as you can’t activate this during the same turn that you fuse on turn 1 or 2. You wind up giving your opponent a bigger 2000/2000 token, and buffing it with attack. So that is usually a negative, unless the goal is the clog the opponent board with a random monster. This only has a GY effect, in which you must dispose of an additional card to special summon a Lunalight from the deck. This seems like a pretty bad card just to special summon something from the deck, and to provide a token to the board for your opponent.

[0:16:30] Celina Level-Up Cards

  • Greater Polymerization: This is a straight upgrade if you are using regular Polymerization for fusions requiring 3 materials. While many archetypes have their own fusion cards, this is useful for those who don’t. Giving the monster effect destruction immunity and piercing is great. I would prioritize leveling up Celina to get these cards.
  • Lunalight Panther Dancer: This one can’t be destroyed with effects, and similar to Cat Dancer, you can hold up an enemy monster for 2 attacks. This will buff itself to 3000 attack as well. Generally an upgrade over Cat Dancer, but just has a different immunity effect.
  • Lunalight Leo Dancer: This seems like the win condition, and you can use Greater Polymerization here. Cannot be targeted with effects, can’t be destroyed by card effects, and has 3500 attack. Can clear your opponent of special summoned monsters as well. You don’t actually need Greater Polymerization here, unless you need the piercing which seems extra.

[0:21:43] Celina Duel Skills

  • Draw Sense: Beast Warrior: This is only a 1000 LP draw sense skill, and works for any deck that runs Beast Warriors.
  • Lunalight Resurgence: Yellow Marten and Crimson Fox, more notably can banish themselves from the GY. Typically if you’re running enough copies of those cards you won’t necessarily need them back though.
  • Lunalight Step: This is a nice but slow skill, as it assumes that you haven’t closed out the game against your opponent yet. It can be a way of squelching an opponent’s comeback as well.
  • Lunalight Whirl Lure: F2p skill, which has a draw sense on Lunalight Fusion. I assume most people playing this game has these cards already, as Lunalight was once a meta deck.
  • Mystical Moon: Mystical Moon was one of the first equip cards ever made and it shows. Not a useful skill.
  • Waltz of the Night Light: This could be the best skill here. Basically your Cat Dancer can get one monster from each GY onto the field. This gives the Cat Dancer the chance to tribute your own monster to debuff the enemy monster to 0, and attack twice for the victory. Really sets up an OTK right then and there, and gives you a reason to keep running the Cat Dancer in the deck.

[0:26:50] Duel Capsule

  • Scab Scarknight: This card never made it to the TCG/OCG, probably for good reason. This card must be left in attack, cannot be destroyed, and must be attacked by your opponent. The tradeoff is that you can take control of one of your enemy monsters after battling. This looks like a stall card but must be run with protection, or else you’ll lose the game. Right now, there are easier ways of possessing enemy monsters as equips than using this card, but not the worst card either.
