[0:07:58] Duel Links Meta Power Rankings

Speed

  • Tier 1: Zombies (41.0) Blue-Eyes (34.5),
  • Tier 2: T.G. (26.0), Shiranui (17.5), Sky Striker (16.0)
  • Tier 3: Shaddoll (15.5), Galaxy Photon (9.5)
  • Off List: Mayakashi

Rush

  • Tier 1:
  • Tier 2:
  • Tier 3:
  • Off List:

[0:08:34] Maximum Curiosity! Nail Saionji!

  • Viscom Nanotron: This has a situational ability where you need exactly 3 Cyberse monsters in the GY. Then you can get those 3 monsters back from the GY, and send this back to the deck. While you can build up resources, this ultimately doesn’t seem like a winning strategy.
  • Yoctron: As is the strategy here, you can recycle 3 specific monsters back to the deck, send this to the GY, draw 3, and discard 3. You’re searching for your maximum monster with this strategy, but not a great strategy.

[0:14:19] Deck Build Box: Scorching Flame Burst

  • Semeruler the Dark Summoner: This card has generic 2-tribute stats with 2500, but combos with monsters having 0 attack. You can summon Yurushima Sage for example, but that has a counterproductive ability. Probably pack some other monsters with 0 attack in the deck to work with this effect. Not the best effect honestly, but works better with guys with high defense.
  • Shock Dragon: Stats aren’t great with 2-tribute 1600/2500, but it works to debuff your opponent’s strongest monster by the attack of your strongest monster. So you’re looking at least a 1600 attack debuff with this guy, so I think this has qualities of being a generic good card to run in your deck, despite being a limited 3. This can counter Max Summon monsters quite well.
  • Combustion Crisis: The 600 burn when your opponent attacks isn’t good at all, but you want this for the situational effect. If your opponent has at least 2 level 7 or higher monsters, you can bounce a monster back to the deck. This is the first bounce ability on a trap so far, one that can be punishing. Eventually this card will be outclassed, but right now it is the only bounce effect.
  • Extra Spice the Elite Noodle Ninja: The stats aren’t great, but 1000 direct burn and a card draw for monster isn’t that bad at all.
  • Yurushima Warrior: This Gavin Warrior archetype is very combo-based, which could be problematic. Recycle a monster with 0 attack, and a monster becomes immune to traps. Being immune to traps is a very nice ability actually.
  • Yurushima Sage: This card has 0 attack, so there is some synergy with other cards in this box. This card naturally flips to defense, where it also forces an enemy monster to defense. This is a nice ability to turn a strong monster to its weak side for attacks.
  • The Noodle Art of Savory: Debuff card for Noodle Pyro monsters, anywhere from 400-1200 attack. This isn’t Shock Dragon, but a nice debuff generally.
  • Volcano Attack Dragon: A vanilla 2-tribute 2300/2000 Dragon. That’s all.

[0:22:41] New MiniBOX, Scream of Resistance

UR/SRs

  • Raider’s Knight: This is a dual-eligible Phantom Knight and Raidraptor, so that’s cool. This is a really strong card, being able to get a Rank 3 or 5 Xyz Summon for a Xyz Material detachment, as long as it fits the name. This immediately should see play for those archetypes, as well for any random Xyz Dragons floating around. A necessary extender.
  • Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon: This is a card you’ll want Rank-Up-Magic on. This is an absolute powerhouse, being able to OTK the opponent easily. The only this is this can get targeted by removal effects that aren’t to destroy.
  • Altergeist Memorygant: This is probably the biggest beatstick this archetype can afford. A huge Link-4, which absorbs a monster to gain attack, can pretty much clear a board in one turn as well, and has battle protection. It is an aggressive extra deck monster in a control archetype.
  • The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales: This can do a quick Link Summon, as you can send Ancient Cloak to the GY, banish Ancient Cloak to summon Silent Boots, and you can Link-2 into Cherubini. You can then banish Silent Boots to tutor a spell/trap, and this monster can special summon for further plays. The combos are here!
  • Raidraptor – Revolution Falcon – Air Raid: This basically has a target ability to destroy a monster, and inflict half burn if it was face-up. This is a little sticky, being able to summon Revolution Falcon when this is destroyed.
  • Prank-Kids Place: Prank-Kids are a Fusion and Link archetype that can get very annoying to go against. This will tutor a Prank-Kids monster from the deck, and has buff or debuff effects depending on Fusion or Link summons.
  • Performage Trick Clown: Discard this card to summon a Performage from the GY. Seems like an okay tradeoff.
  • Performage Damage Juggler: This is a hand protection, being able to prevent effect damage, and battle damage. You can work with the Trick Clown to recycle this monster for more use. You’ll need to consider this with a card like Kiteroid, or they can be used together in a stall deck. This just prevents burn, which Kiteroid doesn’t.
  • Prank-Kids Pranks: You make some tokens with this, and once you have 3 Prank-Kids in the GY, you can recycle them to draw a card.
  • Phantom Knights’ Rank-Up-Magic Force: Just a basic Rank-Up-Magic, which can banish a monster from the GY, which has synergy with Phantom Knights and probably Raidraptor as well.
  • Fabled Marcosia: Multi-use card where you can discard 2 monsters to special summon this, or be discard to tutor a spell/trap.
  • Altergiest Pookuery: This adds Link to your Link Summons without being exposed on the field. And you can use it again, as it immediately goes back to the hand. This is required use for the new Link-4.
  • Evilswarm Exciton Knight

[0:37:22] Bundle Cards

  • Buffered Slime (Rush): This can’t be used against Maximum Monsters or other higher level cards, but this trap is like a form of no battle damage. In Rush Duels, this is somewhat useful, given all the monster combat there is. Another premium trap, but you will take 2000 damage if you have enough LP. Not the best card around given the late game limitation.
  • Drill Driver Vespenato (Speed): This is a known for being a flexible Rank 5, as you can use a generic Rank 4 as well. This is something that will be emulated later on with other monsters. This is really just a piercer with a sticky ability to respawn a level 5 or lower monster in the GY. Not flashy at all, but a value card.
