Battle Phase! #375
- 1st – Soliman_ali98 w/ From Songstress to Maestra Melodious: Very few monsters in this deck, just a lot of back row options.
- 2nd – Ghostplague w/ Red-Eyes Roulette Red-Eyes: We are living crazy times to see Red-Eyes Roulette be the meta skill. As expected, Red-Eyes just needed the main box consistency for Red-Eyes Fang with Chain and Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. This deck build isn’t cheap, requiring URs from many different sets.
- Top 4 – Jaime Rivera E w/ Draw Sense Low-Level Buster Blader: It is typical for this deck to run a lot of control to get the cards you need to set up board manipulation.
- Top 4 – Seiju, As of Destruction Sword w/ Red-Eyes Roulette Red-Eyes: This looks like a more “fun” Red-Eyes deck, even with some spice with Mana Dragon Zirnitron.

- Tier 1: Phantom Knights (20.5)
- Tier 2: Satellarknights (11.2), Harpies (8.7), Melodious (7.8), Water Xyz (7.0)
- Tier 3: Magnet Warrior (5.8), Abyss Actors (5.4), Gouki (5.3)
- Off List: Cyber Dragon
– [0:08:51] Anna Kaboom Level-Up Cards
- Monster Express: This only serves one purpose in sending a card from your Extra Deck into the GY. It is situational on having that type of monster already on the field. The only use of this is to resurrect the monster out of the GY with something like Monster Reborn.
- Unsinkable Titanica: Another clunky strategy involving 2 tokens on the board to be tributed. A decent removal option against things with 0 defense, but even that is situational. Not that useful.
- Southern Stars: You could run this card in a Rank 10 Xyz deck. I feel that deck has enough synergy if you have full playsets of Pegasus, Derricrane, and whatever free event card you get. It can’t hurt to run this card for the right situation.
– [0:15:19] Anna Kaboom Duel Skills
- Devotion: No real use, given tag duels are only available in the Tag Duel Tournament.
- Engine Power Over-Limit!: This is a decent skill. Pretty strong with a Derricrane in hand obviously. The piercing effect might be moot if you want to clear a defense monster with Derricrane, but it allows flexibility so you can clear back row as well.
- Out of Control!: This is good for one of those f2p skills. You get access to two exclusive cards in Rocket Arrow Express and Snow Plow Hustle Rustle, each are plenty usable on their own. Rocket Arrow Express is a solid late game play, especially if your opponent has exhausted a bunch of resources. Snow Plow Hustle Rustle is one of those hand trap monsters that can be useful as well.
- Overnight Express: Not great. The skill adds the card after the turn ends, meaning you don’t get to use the card right away. And you skill 2 draw phases, which is a bit much.
- Sunrise Express!: Basically an old school Draw Sense skill with Level 10 Machines. Very useful with Cosmic Cyclone!
- Super Express!: This card isn’t great for setting up an Xyz Summon, but more useful for utilizing the unused brutality of Level 10 Machines. Night Express Night and Super Express Bullet Train will get summoned as a 3000 attacker, while Derricrane is a 2800.
- Train Connection!: The downside of this skill is that your deck must include only Level 10 Earth Machines. This will exclude Pegasus, who I believe is a core card in the deck.
- Unstoppable Train!: This is basically a better version of Super Express! You aren’t forced into a battle phase, and this has the same ability to utilizing the power of Level 10 Machines.

Metalfoes
- Metalfoes Orichalc: Double piercing is a mechanic that can end games fast in Duel Links, and makes the build like to run Book of Moon, Floodgate, Paleozoic Canadia en masse.
- Metalfoes Fusion: This is an archetypal fusion card that helps recycle and draw a card. While not as strong as other fusion spells that stretch materials, this is fine.
- Metaformation: This field spell can allow your normal Metalfoes monsters to not be affected by opponent card effects, which is a very strong ability. This makes the non-effect Metalfoes playable as beaters that can’t be stopped.
- Metalfoes Counter: This is a nice card to run in Metalfoes to help swarm out monsters for fusion purposes, and to synergize with their own ability to tutor spells/traps.
Psychic
- Psychic Jumper: This card is cool for letting you swap monsters with your opponent permanently. It would be great to use this as a tuner, but you’ll need to outfit your deck with random levels of Synchros, as you could be stealing anything.
- Mind Over Matter: A poor man’s Solemn Judgment, costing no LP, which is odd for a Psychic card.
