[0:10:20] Duel Links Meta Power Rankings

Speed

  • Tier 1: Constellar (29.5),
  • Tier 2: Tenyi (23.5), Mayakashi (19.5)
  • Tier 3: Live Twin (10.5), S-Force (10.0), Yubel (8.5), Machina (7.5), Shaddoll (7.5)
  • Off List: Red-Eyes, Lunalight, Trickstar

Rush

  • Tier 1: Dragon (30.5)
  • Tier 2:
  • Tier 3: Yamiruler (15.0), Aggro (14.5), Arise Dragons (14.0), Royal Rebel’s (13.0)
  • Off List:

[0:11:01] Tag Duel Tournament

  • Tyrant Farm (Speed): This only has utility in decks that utilize non-effect cards. Tenyi immediately comes to mind, as you can match things like Tenyi Spirit Adhara with Monk of the Tenyi, and Tenyi Spirit Vishuda with Berseker of the Tenyi. Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes are also a possibility with this card. But this is a situational card at best, limited to a few decks.
  • Rage of the Beasts (Rush): Beast and Beast-Warrior synergy is building in this game, so here’s a back row removal for all of that. It’s a fine card for those decks, are they probably are still underpowered.

[0:14:39] 7th Anniversary Campaign

  • Swords of Revealing Light (Speed): Everyone always forgets the anime flip effect component, but this is just a 3 turn stall on opponent attacks. Given all the backrow removal we have in the game, this is likely not a competitive card. For stall use only.
  • Shield & Sword (Rush): This is definitely playable for the simple ability to flip the board for one turn. Given how much of Rush Duels is based off minion based combat, this can swing a turn.

[0:20:38] Structure Deck: The Ultimate Ace Breaker

  • Ultimate Flag Mech Tough Striker: Vanilla 2-tribute 2500/1600 Light Machine. This card thematically almost feels like Neos no?
  • Ultimate Flag Mech Ace Breaker (Limited 3): The same 2-tribute monster but with a simple effect of discard 2 to destroy 1 face-up monster. It’s a fine ability that would seem like an overpay in Speed Duels, but Rush Duels is different with your unlimited card advantage.
  • Ultimate Flag Beast Cannon Rhino: 1-tribute 1600/200 is the epitome of bad stats for cost. This also has an ability to discard 1 to give a monster piercing damage. You can inflict 500 burn as well. Just a bunch of mediocre things slapped into one monster. Not the best card, but at least it has a bunch of abilities.
  • Ultimate Flag Beast Aim Eagle: This is sort of a ramp card, except you are still paying 2 monsters on the board to special summon a monster. The monster does gain 1000 attack, so when you are able to pull of the ability, it doesn’t hurt.
  • Ultimate Flag Beast Avant Wolf: Perfectly fine card for any deck that needs a 1500 beater. 200 defense is subpar, but a bunch of 1500/0 monsters still see play.
  • Worker Warrior – New Recruit: Another fine filler Light Machine monster for this archetype.

[0:26:36] Selection Box Vol.07

  • Forbidden Droplet: This is one of the best quick plays even in Master Duels, so the power creep is here! This is really a roided up Forbidden Chalice, being able to negate effects of multiple monsters, and halving the attacks. This is often used during your turn, to negate the effects of a protective negate monster on the opponent board. This cannot be responded to, and doesn’t even target the monsters. Truly the chase card of this box.
  • Artifact Sanctum: This allows you to run a package of this card and an Artifact monster. This is fairly dastardly when Artifact Scythe hits, as this will allow you to shut down the opponent special summons for a turn.
  • Armageddon Knight (Limited 3): The generic Dark Foolish Burial on a monster. This has a step up over Gozuki in that the effect immediately activates upon summon. Playable card for Dark decks that do GY disposal, which is a lot of decks. Also convenient as a Level 4.
  • Alpha, the Master of Beasts: This card has stats but doesn’t really seem to be for attacking. This seems like a big bouncing tool, bouncing monsters on both sides. This is very good against big summons from the extra attack, as you’ll waste your opponent’s resources. You can spawn a bunch of cheap level 2 Beasts and possibly make a control deck.
  • World Legacy – “World Crown”: This card works so long as you have a link monster pointing to an unoccupied monster zone. This will negate and destroy an extra deck monster, so that’s cool. This is a budget negate and destroy ability, which isn’t bad, but will be easily powercrept when better cards come along.
  • Shaddoll Beast: It kinda sucks this card is in here, but it is a business. Send to the GY, draw a card is a nice ability. The flip effect is +1 as well! Card advantage never hurt anyone.
  • Resh Shaddoll Incarnation: Basically an archetype Call of the Haunted, with a bonus GY ability to flip your monster up or down. This is useful for triggering any flip effects the Shaddoll monsters have. Another great card!
  • Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju: This doesn’t seem to be the best Kaiju monster, as you’ll be giving the opponent a 3300 monster. This is better used if you run multiple Kaiju monsters, and wanted to defeat the Kaiju you gave your opponent.
  • Hilta the Fire Charmer, Ablaze: These Familiar-Possessed link monsters can be quite good, so they gave us the worst one here. This is very situational, as your opponent has to have a Fire monster in the GY. This doesn’t have much use at the moment unfortunately.
  • Condemned Darklord: Link monster for Darklords, helping facilitate normal summons through the GY, and then discarding cards, and sending stuff to the hand or GY.
  • Black Rose Moonlight Dragon: A generic Level 7 Synchro, which can bounce a monster when summoned, or be used defensively. Nice control card, though it is a targeting effect. Also unlike the original Black Rose Dragon, this won’t destroy itself.
  • Artifact Moralltach: Meant to be comboed with Artifact Sanctum, this can pop an enemy face-up card when special summoned with the trap. Or like other Artifacts, this can be set or used as Rank 5 Xyz material.

[0:41:42] Tour Guide’s Mission Bingo

  • Dark Red Enchanter: This card can hold unlimited counters! This will have 2 counters on summon, so it would be 2300/2200. Gains more and more attack with spell activations. This can also hit the opponent’s hand once per turn. More of a fun card that would get more support when Endymion cards get fully released.
